Why Doesn't She Just Leave?

This 1/2 day awareness raising event aims to raise awareness  and understanding of issues relating to gender based violence and build capacity for partnership working to tackle violence against women in the South of the city.

Venue: Queen's Park Chruch Hall, 170 Queen's Drive, Glasgow

Cost: Free. There is no creche provision. Bring your own lunch to see stalls. Tea, coffee and home baking provided.

Can You Hear Me?

This 1/2 day Deaf awareness event aims to raise awareness of of the needs of Deaf women and gender based violence. Violence against women is as prevelent in the Deaf community as it is in any other community. This event invites staff to come and learn about Deaf culture and to learn some work related signs all of which will go some way to reducing the barriers experienced by Deaf women and improve accessibility.

Venue: Deaf Connections, 100 Norfolk Street, Glasgow

Hands On - Hands Off

Using some of the Hands material developed in 2011 and two therapists for hand massage, we are inviting women to come and take part in this event. Women will craft and air dry clay and ribbons to make a thumb print pendant. Women will be invited to share their experiences and celebrate their uniqueness.

Govan Help Women Meet and Speak

Govan Home and Education Link are hosting a women's event for mothers, grandmothers, sisters and family of friends of St Saviours, Riverside, Broomloan, Pirie Park Primaires and Govan Family Learning Centre. There will be a variety of beauty and relaxation tasters for women to enjoy, as well as information stalls, DVD presentation followed by a discussion on domestic abuse. Refreshments will be served.

World Peace Begins at Home

A series of poetry and printmaking workshops culminating in a small artists book providing a solid memory of experiences shared with one another. Poetry and print making workshops also held at women's groups. Refeshments available.

Photography With Power!

Join the Domestic Abuse Project to embark on a journey to learn new skills using photography to create positive images of inspirational women.

This event will take place over several different days beginning on the 3rd of December culminating in an exhibition of participants photographs on Monday 10th December.

Photography With Power Exhibition!!

The Domestic Abuse Project are pleased to present the Photography With Power Exhibition. Women from across the South of the City are delighted to exhbit their photographs of inspirational women. As well as having an opportunity to view the exhibition there is a prize to be awarded for the most powerful image. Come along and support both the women and the Domestic Abuse Project. Refreshments will be served.
