Taking this years Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival themes of Walk In My Shoes, women from Glasgow East Women's Aid and SAY Women have been working with artist Gail McLintock to develop an exciting film and series of sculptural artworks. The women have been exploring the 'often hidden' effect of gender based violence and its reflections in current culture. This contemporary artwork part personal, part protest will be launch and on display at thsi event.

Celebrating the spirit of women to overcome violence and injustice, the North Glasgow Integration Network invite you to come along and see an exhibition of work designed and developed by women from all over the world many of whom are asylum seekers or refugees. There will be an opportunity to view a DVD also produced by women.

Gender Based Violence Session

Domestic abuse, sexual violence, child sexual abuse and other forms of gender based violence cause immense pain and suffering and are a major public health issue. This event is targeted at staffa nd partners who work directly with service users wo maybe affected by gender based violence. it will feature information and various focused sessions including best practice is asking questions for all our clients.
